ECOLOGY OF AMELIA HIKE

This hand-crafted ecology tour is a walking tour featuring approximately 4 miles of walking. During the walk, you will dive into the three different ecosystems found on the island. You will get to immerse yourself in the maritime forest along the coast, learning about what creatures dwell here and why it looks the way it does. Adventuring to the beach, you will get to see the incredible creations called dunes and learn why they are so important to the vitality of the island and its inhabitants. Walking from one side of the island to the other, you will emerge into the marsh ecosystem and learn about it’s complexity and how it functions as a safety net for the island.

Be sure to bring your comfiest walking shoes and adventure into the beautiful nature that creates Amelia Island.
